LAC Du FLAMBEAU – Jerome “Brooks” Big John, 48, was named Tribal President of the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa on Monday night.
As leader of the 12-member Tribal Council, Big John succeeds Carl Edwards, who stepped down last November 23rd citing unspecified “differences” with other members in a brief one-paragraph resignation letter. Big John was one of three candidates for the top spot, the others being Tom Maulson and Bert Labarge.

Brooks now sits along side Dee Mayo the person that voted to impeach him when he on the council. She is not a creditable person, she is sucking up but has done a lot of evil in time as vp.
Where the heck is Brooks supposed to sit? The Chair and the v.p. have always sat next to each other whether they like it or not. Chee..talk about nit pickie!
Dee needs to go, she is a spy for Carl, Weeders, and Rose. I know she cut a deal with the law and current council members. She’s the squeaky wheel. She’s rolling over on the rest for her freedom. Hmmmmmmmmmm
Holy Clock-stoppers Batman!!!
